Tip plasty at a glance
Tip plasty is an operation that reshapes only the tip of the nose without touching the nasal bones. It suits a tip that is droopy, wide, round or asymmetric, or that drops when you smile. Dr. İsmet Emrah Emre performs it at partner hospitals, usually under general anaesthesia, using piezo technique; it takes 30–60 minutes. Because no bone is broken, swelling is less than after rhinoplasty, bruising is minimal or absent, and most people return to work in 3–5 days. It is the procedure patients ask the clinic about most.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between tip plasty and rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty addresses the whole nose, bone and cartilage; tip plasty works only on the tip and leaves the bone alone, so surgery is shorter with less swelling and bruising.
Who is a good candidate?
People who are happy with the bridge of their nose but want to change a droopy, wide or poorly defined tip.
Will the tip drop again over time?
Not when the correct technique is used; the result is permanent.
Does it affect breathing?
Usually not, and in some cases it can improve it.
How soon can I go back to work?
Usually within 3–5 days. Wait 2–3 weeks before strenuous exercise.
How long should I stay in Istanbul?
Stitches are removed on day 7, so plan for about a week.
The initial consultation is free of charge. Patients living outside Istanbul or abroad can have it online via Zoom. Fees depend on the scope of the procedure and the partner hospital; a personal quote is given after the consultation and is fixed once a surgery date is booked.
